Searching for Pearls

Flowers budding, yellow with the sun.
I take a walk, just to see 
how far my thoughts will run.
Salinas, a city without limitations.
Maybe here I’ll get inspired 
to let go of these reservations.
Maybe here I’ll get inspired 
like Steinbeck, writin’ on some papers.
Maybe here I’ll get inspired
to no longer dwell on all the haters.
