Taking in the Rain

The rain falls as I stare through the window. Thankful, I was not caught in it’s cold flow as it throws itself from the clouds. I’m amazed at how fearlessly it falls down. I could never be that careless about falling. My body needs a sense of control. I can not simply stroll down the street without knowing where I am going. Thoughts like rain, continuously flowing. Forming rivers and meandering into plans. I like to feel prepared for anything. Even though, to be prepared for everything is impossible. Two streets down, sirens announce themselves. The rain continues to fall.
